It’s that time of the year, and I’m SO excited to put together our very first Christmas card! I’ve always loved opening Christmas cards from friends and family, and now Cody and I can finally join in on the fun! Naturally, I’m stuffing our cards into envelopes while watching THE one and only Hallmark Channel! (“The Vortex”, as our family calls it. Those romantic Hallmark movies just sucks you in, and you can’t get out, ha!)
I did a lot of research before purchasing our Christmas cards. I REALLY love Shutterfly’s adorable matte look (some even have fun gold foiling), but I wanted to be able to get our cards the same day of order so I could get started on them. The other big factor that I looked at was price. We’ve spent more money than we’d care to this year on postage (save the dates, wedding invites, thank you notes…that adds up quick!), and we wanted a more budget friendly for our Christmas cards. After peeking at Walgreens and Walmart’s options, I opted for Walmart’s speedy day-of pickup and great price! For comparison purposes- The matte ones I liked on Shutterfly were about $1.50/piece- the ones I got from Walmart were about $0.28/piece AND included some really great silver foil-lined envelopes!
I definitely recommend getting an address stamp to use for your save-the-dates, invitations, and thank you notes! It really cuts down on time spent preparing these envelopes, and you’ll be able to use it for your mail after the wedding too! It really made our Christmas card prep a breeze- you can find them here:
