German Sugar Cookies

This is one of our FAVORITE cookie recipes, and it came from an old Walworth County 4-H cookbook!  My husband RAVED about these for days so I took a plate to work for my coworkers- and they loved these sweets too!  The best part?  There is only ONE Tablespoon of sugar!!!! (okay, and a 1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar, too.)

You can fancy these up so quickly, as they don’t need to be rolled out- I simply scooped up some cookie dough, and used this ADORABLE silicone elephant cookie stamp to flatten them (We think these taste better when flattened with the cookie stamp VS left in cookie scoop form)!  These are so easy to make, and only require 7 ingredients in total.

These silicone cookie stamps I found on Amazon are just like the one I used, and would be perfect for a fun design on these cookies!

And for you Harry Potter fans out there- how great would these be for a Potter-Themed bridal shower or a Halloween party coming up?

Be sure to let me know if you give this recipe a try- I would love to hear how they turn out!
